Polkerris Beach Partners
We firmly believe in working closely with other organisations to make the most of the beach, our facilities and the natural resources at hand. We are delighted to work with all of these diverse groups:
Cornwall Sports Partnership and Poltair School Sports Partnership
Working with the sports partnerships makes it possible for us to offer watersports sessions for young people both individually and through schools at low prices.
Eden Project Sailing Club
Now based at Polkerris Beach, Sail Eden is a bunch of enthusiastic sailors who keep their boats at the beach as well drawing on the training resources, facilities and equipment that we offer.
Fowey Hall Hotel
The luxury family hotel in Fowey now offer holidays and short breaks that include sailing and windsurfing tuition at Polkerris Beach.
Tushingham
Tushingham are Britain’s leading windsurfing equipment company, with their own sail range and distributing Starboard boards. Our instructor George is also their team rider and demo man, with encyclopaedic knowledge of the kit, which is readily available to our customers.
Polkerris Scouts
The Scouts have been operating in Polkerris for around a century: rather longer than us, in fact! Their base is at the opposite end of the old pilchard factory that we occupy and we are pleased to cooperate with them - and to get Scouts into sailing boats.
And, of course, we work closely with our commercial neighbours to make Polkerris Beach a better place:
The Menabilly Estate
Our landlords. Committed to preserving the special character of Polkerris and the surrounding area.
The Rashleigh Inn
The pub on the beach, run by Jon and Samantha Spode.
Sams on the beach
The restaurant in the old lifeboat station, run by Sam and Emma Sixton.
