The shop and centre is open from 10am to 5.30pm (and often later), seven days a week. The beach is, of course, always open for your enjoyment but dogs and barbeques are not permitted at any time between Easter and September.

Location

Polkerris is located on the East side of St Austell Bay and is accessed by a typically Cornish lane that leads to a large car park about 200m from the beach.

Travelling by road from the East

Our address is:

  • Take the A38 from Plymouth
  • Turn off to Lostwithiel and St Austell on the A390
  • Pass through Lostwithiel, and after 1.7 miles...
  • Turn left towards Fowey on the B3296
  • Turn right at the roundabout at Newtown by the Texaco petrol station
  • Turn left to Polkerris and Menabilly
  • Follow the signs down into the village
