Windsurfing Courses
Our windsurfing courses are generally taken over two days of 4 hours a day. However, we are flexible and can offer options such as two hours a day for four days. Regular weekly sessions are also available.

For adults
Start Windsurfing
Teaches you the basics of windsurfing using the right equipment, enabling you to sail to where you want to go and sail back to where you started. The course is predominantly water-based, but includes theory and practical sessions ashore, such as rigging and de-rigging a sail. You will receive on water coaching by your instructor, who will have a safety boat to hand.
Intermediate Windsurfing (Non-planing)
New techniques such as the beachstart and harness work will get you ready for the excitement of windsurfing in stronger winds. After course you will be able to windsurf on all points of sailing in stronger winds, using beachstarts and faster tacks and gybes. The course includes plenty of windsurfing, along with theory and practical sessions ashore on our simulator. The RYA ‘Fastfwd’ formula is the foundation for intermediate windsurfing which will provide a sound basis for all your future progress.
Intermediate Windsurfing (Planing)
Harness and footstrap techniques combined with the Fastfwd formula improve your stance and get the board planing, giving you the exhilaration of speed and improved theory knowledge. After course you will be blasting in the footstraps and harness in planing conditions.

For Children
The junior scheme is generally intended for under-16s but this is just a guide.
Stage 1 is an ideal introduction, teaching you the basics of getting on the water and sailing the board across the wind and back. It’s all about fun.
In Stage 2 your instructor will teach you the practical skills to get you sailing around a course practising tacking and gybing, enabling you to make progression towards and away from the wind.
In Stage 3, we introduce the RYA's Fastfwd coaching formula. Your instructor will help you to correctly set up your board and rig, improve your stance on all points of sailing and introduce basic harness techniques in stronger winds. Now's the time to hook in and hang on!
In Stage 4 you'll be blasting around and getting in the footstraps. After this stage you should have a confident ability to tack and gybe and sail in your harness, with an introduction to basic footstrap technique. You will be a pretty hot windsurfer by this time!
